Pennsylvania
Asociacion Puertorriquenos en Marcha, Inc. is on the receiving end of a lawsuit filed by a case worker who claims the Pennsylvania child welfare services provider failed to pay proper wages.
The suit says that Asociacion Puertorriquenos en Marcha is overseen by Philadelphia’s Department of Human Services. However, unlike case managers employed directly by the city, the plaintiff and those similarly situated did not receive premium time-and-a-half pay for overtime work, the lawsuit claims. According to the complaint, the plaintiff regularly worked between 43 and 50 hours per week (or more) for an $865 weekly salary that did not include proper overtime pay.
