Wood et al v. Buck Valley Drywall, Inc. et al
Filed: February 11, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv631
A former labor and former supervisor allege Buck Valley Drywall unlawfully paid them at their straight-time rate for overtime hours worked.
Two plaintiffs formerly employed by Buck Valley Drywall, Inc. as a supervisor and a laborer, respectively, have brought a proposed collective action against the company and its chief executive alleging they were paid straight time rather than time-and-a-half wages for overtime hours worked past 40 each week.
One plaintiff alleges he worked 60 hours per week between May and September 2017 without appropriate overtime wages. The second plaintiff, who worked as a supervisor, claims he worked 58 hours per week without overtime. Further still, the supervisor plaintiff alleges he never received his final paycheck of $300 from the defendants. According to the complaint’s estimates, the plaintiffs are owed more than $8,000 in unpaid wages.
