Dia v. Medina et al
Filed: October 1, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv5487
Brooklyn Tap House and the company’s owners have been named as defendants in a proposed collective action filed over alleged wage and hour violations.
Brooklyn Tap House, Inc. and the company’s three owners have been named as defendants in a proposed collective action filed over potential violations of federal and state labor law.
The plaintiff worked as an hourly paid dishwasher for the defendants from February 2012 to May 2018, during which time he worked between 40 and 56 hours each week. The man claims he didn’t receive proper time-and-a-half pay for his overtime hours or spread-of-hours pay for shifts exceeding 10 hours. In addition, the defendants allegedly violated New York law when they deprived the plaintiff of a wage notice upon hiring and failed to maintain proper payroll records.
