Torres et al v. Bo-Mell Enterprises, Inc. et al
Filed: October 1, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv8997
Bo-Mell Enterprises, Quality Auto Body & Painting Center, and the companies’ CEO are facing a lawsuit filed by two employees over allegedly unpaid overtime wages.
New York
Bo-Mell Enterprises, Quality Auto Body & Painting Center, and the companies’ CEO are the defendants in a proposed collective action filed by two employees who claim they did not receive proper overtime wages.
The defendants run an autobody repair shop in the Bronx, where the plaintiffs worked respectively as a “body man” and a painter, according to the case. The plaintiffs allege they worked 44 hours per week for fixed salaries of $625 and $1,000, respectively, that did not include any compensation – time-and-a-half or otherwise – for overtime hours worked. In addition, the defendants allegedly failed to issue accurate wage statements as required by New York law.
