Two former employees have filed a class action against the Bolivar Restaurant & Lounge and its owner over alleged Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) violations. The plaintiffs, who worked as cooks for the defendants until early November 2016, claim they were not paid proper overtime and minimum wages dating back three years from the filing of the suit. According to the complaint, the plaintiffs worked an average of 55 hours per week but were never paid FLSA-mandated time-and-a-half hourly rate for hours worked over 40 in a week.
