The operator of the Victoria Gardens assisted living facility in Riviera Beach face a suit alleging it failed to pay certain employees proper overtime.
Florida Care Assisted Living, Inc., which runs the Victoria Gardens assisted living facility in Riviera Beach, and an administrator are on the receiving end of a lawsuit in which the plaintiff claims she routinely worked more than 40 hours per week without proper overtime compensation. The plaintiff, whose duties include housekeeping and general home care work, claims she worked between five to 10 hours of overtime per week for the defendants during certain pay periods spanning August 2016 to November 2017 without being paid time-and-a-half wages for these extra hours.
