Filed: October 27, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-08309
A lawsuit claims construction company Arqenta Inc. owes unpaid time-and-a-half hourly overtime wages.
Construction and renovation group Arqenta Inc. faces a proposed class action that alleges the company violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) by failing to pay workers proper time-and-a-half overtime wages. Filed in New York, the lawsuit claims the plaintiff, a laborer who was with Arqenta from October 2016 through October 2017, worked between 45 and 58 hours per week and was only paid at an hourly overtime rate of $5 more than his regular hourly rate, below the time-and-a-half wage required under the FLSA and New York Labor Law.
