When the plaintiff was hired, the case says, the defendants agreed to pay her at an hourly rate of $11. According to the suit, however, the defendants failed to uphold this agreement and regularly paid the woman less than $11 per hour—sometimes as low as $5.07 per hour. The plaintiff further claims she consistently clocked more than 40 hours each week yet was deprived of time-and-a-half wages for her overtime work.
