Arecio v. Community Car Service Priscilla Corp. et al.
Filed: October 27, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-06298
A lawsuit claims Brooklyn, NY's Priscilla Community Car Service owes unpaid time-and-a-half overtime.
New York
A New York man formerly employed as a dispatcher by Priscilla Community Car Service has sued its operating company, Community Car Service Priscilla Corp., and nine individuals with ownership and/or control over the Brooklyn business alleging violations of Fair Labor Standards Act overtime regulations. The plaintiff, who the case says worked for the defendants for roughly 30 years, claims that between 2011 and October 2017 he regularly worked between five and 23 hours of overtime each week without proper time-and-a-half pay nor meal or rest breaks of any kind throughout his workdays. The plaintiff, who claims he was paid his wages both in cash and by check, says his pay never varied when he was required to work longer than his usual schedule.
