A proposed class action filed in Florida alleges defendants West Coast Trucking Corp. and an individual with day-to-day control of its operations violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) by failing to pay its employees proper overtime wages. The lawsuit specifically claims the plaintiff worked an average of 60 hours per week as a warehouseman for the defendants between December 2011 and January 2017 without being paid at the time-and-a-half hourly rate for all hours worked over 40. The alleged non-payment on the defendants’ part was willful and intentional, the case claims.
