Filed: May 19, 2017 ◆§ 0:17-cv-60999-KMM
A former waitress of Villagio restaurant has filed a lawsuit against its operating company and two individual owners, claiming they failed to pay proper wages.
A former waitress of Florida-based restaurant Villagio has filed a lawsuit against its operating company and two individual owners. She claims the defendants failed to pay her proper minimum and overtime wages and neglected keep accurate records of employees’ hours worked, in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act. According to the complaint, the plaintiff regularly worked more than 40 hours per week, but was uncompensated for the hours she worked above 40 each week. She also claims that she was paid less than minimum wage and that her employers failed to accurately record her actual hours worked. The suit seeks to restore the plaintiff’s and proposed class members’ allegedly unpaid wages.
