New York
Farrell’s Limousine Service Corp., Farrell’s Limousine Service, LLC, Farrell’s Leasing Company, Inc., and three individual owners are facing claims that they failed to pay their employees proper overtime wages, required them to pay out-of-pocket for business expenses, and neglected to provide them with proper wage statements. The plaintiff says she was employed as a chauffeur and often worked more than 40 hours per week without receiving proper overtime compensation. She alleges that the defendants began paying overtime wages in 2015 as a result of a similar lawsuit, but that employees are still owed unpaid wages.
The suit also claims that limo drivers were forced to pay for their own uniforms and for the cost of repairs, tickets, or accidents that were associated with driving Farrell vehicles.
Even further, the defendants allegedly failed to provide employees with proper wage notices at their time of hire or weekly wage statements that recorded their hours and rates of pay.
