Two former hibachi chefs have filed a proposed class action against Tsunami Japanese Steakhouse and its owner claiming they were not paid appropriate overtime wages.
Two former hibachi chefs have filed a proposed class action against Tsunami Japanese Steakhouse and its owner claiming they were not paid appropriate overtime wages under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Both named plaintiffs allege they were not paid at the time-and-a-half hourly rate for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek. Additionally, the lawsuit claims the plaintiffs and similarly situated proposed class members were also not paid all their earned tips.
The proposed class includes anyone who worked for Tsunami Japanese Steakhouse between 2013 and the present who is owed overtime pay.
