A proposed class action citing alleged Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) violations alleges defendants D & N Holdings, Inc., which does business as furniture retailer The Closet Edition, and an individual with operational control over the company failed to pay proper minimum and overtime wages.
The plaintiff behind the suit worked for the defendants as a furniture installer from September 2016 through early March 2017. According to the complaint, the plaintiff worked roughly 60 hours per week without being paid at the time-and-a-half hourly overtime rate for hours worked past 40.
