Two individuals formerly employed as a recovery agents have filed a proposed class action against Task Force of Texas, L.L.C. and its owner.
Two individuals formerly employed as a recovery agents have filed a proposed class action against Task Force of Texas, L.L.C. and its owner claiming they and proposed class members were not paid for all hours worked. The eight-page lawsuit claims employees were “required to work many hours at sub-minimum wage rates” and were not paid time-and-a-half overtime wages.
The named plaintiffs’ job duties, the suit says, included locating and retrieving unpaid vehicles as collateral for loans. Court documents allege the plaintiffs regularly worked six or seven days a week in excess of 60 hours without proper wages.
