Filed: May 30, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-22017-UU
A former employee of Mega Awning, Inc. has filed suit against the company and two individual owners claiming they failed to pay her overtime wages.
A former employee of Mega Awning, Inc. has filed suit against the company and two individual owners claiming they failed to pay her overtime wages in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. She says she was employed as a tailor and paid $11.00 per hour for working an average of 48 hours per week. The complaint alleges, however, that her employers neglected to pay her time-and-a-half overtime wages for the hours she worked in excess of 40 each week. The suit seeks to recover unpaid wages and any additional damages for anyone who has worked for the defendants during the past three years and did not receive proper overtime compensation.
