A proposed class action claims Star Island Entertainment, LLC employees were not paid proper wages and were not compensated for their final month of employment.
A proposed class action claims Star Island Entertainment, LLC employees were not paid proper wages and were not compensated for their final month of employment. In addition to Star Island Entertainment, which does business as the Icon Miami nightclub, the complaint lists four individual defendants who collectively acted as joint employers of proposed class members.
Filed by two former employees, the lawsuit claims the defendants failed to pay waitresses, waiters, hostesses and hosts rightful wages for their final two to three weeks of work, the pay period between August 15 and August 31, 2016.
