A Florida man has filed an eight-page complaint against his former employer, South Millwork, Corp., and an owner of the company, claiming the defendants failed to properly compensate him for all hours worked. According to the complaint, the plaintiff worked at least 400 hours of overtime, but was not paid at the time-and-a-half overtime rate established by the Fair Labor Standards Act. The suit further argues that the plaintiff was not paid at all for the 96 hours he worked during his last three weeks of employment. It alleges violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act, along with claims of unjust enrichment and breach of contract.
