In a proposed class action recently removed to federal court in California, a former Sodexo, Inc. and SDH Education West, LLC employee alleges he was denied proper wages by the food and facilities management companies.
The plaintiff, who the suit says worked for the defendants up until November 2018, alleges that he and other employees were routinely deprived of compensation for sick days and vacation time, in violation of California’s Labor Code. According to the proposed class action, the man was also never paid his final wages after departing the job.
Lastly, the case claims the company issued paystubs that did not contain all required information. “Specifically,” the complaint reads, “Defendants failed to accurately specify the total regular and/or overtime hours worked, and failed to specify the hourly rate, making it difficult to calculate total wages earned and due.”
