Hardy v. Silver's Crust West Indian Restaurant & Grill Inc
Filed: April 21, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-02415
Silver's Crust West Indian Restaurant & Grill Inc., which owns and operates about 10 restaurants, is facing claims that it failed to pay employees proper wages.
Silver’s Crust West Indian Restaurant & Grill Inc., which owns and operates about 10 restaurants in or around New York City, is facing claims that it failed to pay its employees the required overtime wages. The plaintiff argues that he worked for Silver’s Crust for more than 40 hours per week, but was not compensated at one-and-a-half times his regular rate of pay for the hours he worked above 40. He also alleges that he was often required to work beyond the end of his scheduled shifts and was not compensated at all for the extra hours he worked.
The suit seeks relief for a proposed class of individuals who were employed by the defendant during the past three years and did not receive proper overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 in a week.
