Rodriguez v. Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care of Southern Florida, Inc.
Filed: June 8, 2018 ◆§ 1:18cv22299
A proposed class action lawsuit has been filed against Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care of Southern Florida, LLC by a former employee seeking allegedly unpaid overtime wages.
Florida
A proposed class action alleging labor law violations has been filed against Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care of Southern Florida, LLC and an individual with control of the business. The plaintiff in the case says he worked for the defendants as a “Clinical Liaison” and was responsible for “going to [h]ospitals, admitting and interacting with patients.” Despite working “numerous hours of overtime each week,” the man claims he was never paid time-and-a-half premium wages for the hours he worked over 40. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff complained to management about the alleged lack of overtime pay and was fired in retaliation for voicing his objections.
The case was originally filed in state court against Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care of Broward Florida, LLC and has since been transferred to federal court in Florida's Southern District.
