Oilfield technology company Schlumberger Tech Corp. is facing a class action filed by a former employee who claims he and proposed class members are owed unpaid overtime wages under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and state labor laws. The former oilfield worker’s suit claims he and other current and former measurement while drilling employees were regularly scheduled to work 84 hours or more per week and were paid a base salary plus a day rate, not the FLSA-mandated time-and-a-half overtime rate.
