Parker v. Savage Fueling Corporation
Filed: April 10, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-00397-GTS-CFH
An individual formerly employed by Savage Fueling Corporation has filed a proposed collective action against the company over allegedly unpaid overtime wages.
An individual formerly employed as a fuel technician by Savage Fueling Corporation has filed a proposed collective action against the company over allegedly unpaid overtime wages. The man’s lawsuit claims he and others who worked as fuel techs, responsible for transporting fuel to rail yards, within the last six years regularly worked more than 40 hours per week without being paid at the time-and-a-half hourly overtime rate for all hours worked past 40.
The defendant, a company that handles supply chain management and business-specific industrial solutions, allegedly pays its fuel techs an hourly wage plus shift pay. Despite this, the company allegedly does not pay the legally required overtime premium when employees work more than 40 hours in a week.
