A class action lawsuit filed in New York against Ripe Juice Bar & Grill claims the health-conscious restaurant stiffed current and former employees on overtime and spread-of-hours pay, as well as the minimum wage. The plaintiff, a former delivery worker who says he also spent a significant amount of time doing kitchen work, says he worked an average of 77 hours per week at the Queens-based juicer, with shifts between 10 and 11 hours per day. He alleges he was paid a flat $180 per week and roughly $400 in tips regardless of how many hours he worked, with no overtime or spread-of-hours pay.
