High-end shoe company Aldo U.S., Inc. has been hit with a class action out of Florida filed by former store managers who claim they are owed unpaid overtime wages under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The complaint claims that Aldo failed to pay the allegedly employees at the FLSA-required time-and-a-half hourly rate for all hours worked over 40 in a workweek. The plaintiffs also allege the company misclassified them as exempt from FLSA protections even though their job duties and salaries did not satisfy managerial or administrative exemption statutes within the FLSA.
