Five lead plaintiffs claim in a proposed collective action that defendants Regions Financial Corporation and subsidiary Regions Bank failed to pay individuals working as mortgage loan originators proper overtime wages. The plaintiffs, all former employees, each claim they were regularly denied time-and-a-half hourly overtime pay owed under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) for all hours worked over 40 in a given workweek. The complaint notes the defendant employs roughly 700 mortgage loan originators at locations across 15 states.
