Prima Contracting Ltd. and its owners are facing a class action lawsuit filed by former construction employees who claim they were subjected to “egregious” unpaid wage violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and New York labor laws. The lawsuit contends the seven named plaintiffs and proposed class members worked well upward of 40 hours per week without being paid at the time-and-a-half overtime rate. Additionally, plaintiffs say they were never paid for their last weeks of work, with some claiming they are owed up to five weeks of unpaid wages.
