Filed: November 30, 2016 ◆§ 2:16-cv-01312
A proposed collection action has been filed against NY Pizza Slice House, LLC and two of its 'members.'
A proposed collection action has been filed against NY Pizza Slice House, LLC and two of its “members.” According to the suit, the Italian-style eatery operated an illegal tip pool in which the plaintiffs – as well as proposed class members – did not get all the tips they were entitled to. Specifically, the suit claims that non-tipped employees, including those carrying out managerial duties, received tips and that some workers weren’t paid extra when working more than 40 hours a week. The suit hopes to cover all current and former non-exempt employees that received tips, as well as those who worked overtime hours without being paid extra between December 1, 2013 and present day.
