Filed: April 4, 2017 ◆§ 0:17-cv-60665-UU
Two former employees filed a proposed class action against Painting Firm LLC and two owners, claiming the company owes them unpaid overtime wages.
Two former employees filed a proposed class action against Painting Firm LLC and two owners, claiming the company owes them unpaid overtime wages under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The plaintiffs allegedly worked for the defendants as painters for an average of 52 hours per week without receiving time-and-a-half overtime compensation. According to the complaint, their employer “recklessly failed to investigate whether [its] payroll practices were in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.”
The suit seeks to cover employees who worked for Painting Firm within the past three years and who were not paid proper overtime wages.
