A former security guard who worked for O’Connell Protection Services, LLC has filed suit against the company over claims that he is owed unpaid overtime wages.
A former security guard who worked for O’Connell Protection Services, LLC has filed suit against the company over claims that he is owed unpaid overtime wages. The plaintiff alleges he was paid a flat rate of $15 per hour and would work four to five days per week for 12 to 15 hours per day. Though his weekly hours allegedly totaled well over 40, the plaintiff says he never received proper time-and-a-half overtime wages.
Additionally, the suit argues that the defendant violated state labor law by failing to provide the plaintiff with accurate weekly wage statements and a wage notification at his time of hire that reflected his rate of pay.
