Filed: May 23, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-03898
A proposed collective action lawsuit has been filed against Saltoto, Inc. and an individual owner alleging that they failed to pay their employees proper wages.
A proposed collective action lawsuit has been filed against Saltoto, Inc. and an individual owner alleging that they failed to pay their employees proper wages and provide them with required wage documents. The plaintiff says he was employed as a cook at the defendants’ restaurant, Salvo’s Pizzabar, and worked approximately 64 hours per week. He claims, however, that he was not paid time-and-a-half overtime wages for the hours he worked in excess of 40 each week, and that the defendants failed to pay him spread-of-hours wages for shifts that lasted longer than 10 hours.
The suit further claims that the defendants neglected to post wage notices in their restaurant informing workers of minimum wage laws, and failed to provide weekly wage statements that detailed employees’ hours and rates of pay.
