Real estate company Pine Management Inc. and its executives have been slapped with a lawsuit in New York alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Specifically, the suit claims the company paid its maintenance workers, porters, painters, handymen and superintendents straight time – rather than time-and-a-half – when they worked beyond 40 hours per week.
