A proposed class action lawsuit has been filed against Broker Solutions, Inc. (which does business as New American Funding) by a California man who claims he received several illegal telemarketing calls from the home loan company without providing prior consent. Specifically, the plaintiff alleges he added his phone number to the National Do-Not-Call Registry in 2013 and had no prior business relationship with the defendant, yet received multiple calls from the company in March 2017 attempting to sell its services. The suit argues that the calls were placed using autodialing technology and, lacking the plaintiff’s express written consent, were made in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
