Liberty-Ann Painting Inc. and its owner are the defendants in a proposed class action filed over the company’s alleged failure to pay time-and-a-half overtime wages. The plaintiff, who was employed by the defendants as a non-exempt painter until September 2016, claims he regularly worked more than 40 hours per week without being paid overtime as called for by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The lawsuit estimates that the plaintiff is owed more than 480 hours of unpaid overtime wages.
