New York auto body shop L.I. Proliner, Inc. and its owner are the defendants in a proposed class action that alleges employees were not paid overtime wages in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The plaintiff, who was employed by the defendants for roughly a decade, claims he worked 50 to 55 hours per week without time-and-a-half overtime pay. On top of this, the plaintiff says he received no pay at all for his final two weeks of work and was not allowed to retrieve his own tools from the defendants’ facility after he left the job.
