Workforce Resources, LLC is the defendant in a proposed class action filed by three former employees who claim the company failed to pay them proper wages. The plaintiffs say they were employed as cultural advisors/role players for members of the United States Armed Forces. According to the suit, the defendant required them to check in each morning at the company’s office and then shuttled them to the military base 45 minutes away. They claim they were not compensated for the time they spent traveling from the office to the base and back.
The complaint further alleges that the defendant failed to pay the plaintiffs time-and-a-half overtime wages, never compensated them for missed meal/rest breaks, and neglected to provide them with accurate wage statements and notices.
This case has been removed from the Superior Court of the State of California for the County of San Diego to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.
