In a lawsuit filed against JWE Enterprises Inc., Squeaky Clean Car Wash-Shea LLC, and four individuals, a former employee claims workers were not paid proper overtime.
In a proposed collective action filed against JWE Enterprises Inc., Squeaky Clean Car Wash-Shea LLC, and four individuals, a former employee claims workers were not paid proper overtime wages pursuant to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The 19-page lawsuit, filed on behalf of similarly situated current and former car washers, detailers, lube technicians and others employed by the defendants, claims the individuals were never, at any time, paid time-and-a-half hourly overtime wages for hours worked past 40 in a workweek. The complaint claims similarly situated individuals covered by the suit worked between 50 and 60 hours per week without overtime.
