CWL Investments, LLC, the owning and operating entity of dozens of Jimmy John’s, is facing a proposed class action filed by a former assistant manager who claims current and former employees were not paid proper overtime wages. Filed in Arizona, the suit claims individuals employed as managers or assistant store managers were wrongly classified as workers exempt from time-and-a-half overtime pay. The plaintiff says he worked an average of 55 hours—sometimes as many as 75 hours—per week without this extra pay.
