Two former stagehands have filed a proposed class action against HBS Services, Inc. and its owner claiming they and similarly situated workers are owed unpaid overtime wages. Filed in New York, the complaint claims proposed class members regularly worked more than 40 hours per week without being paid at the time-and-a-half hourly rate for all hours worked past 40. The plaintiffs, who say they worked between 11 and 14 hours per day five days a week, claim they were paid a flat daily rate regardless of how many hours they actually worked.
