A proposed class action has been filed in Florida against Grande Pizza Co. and its two owners over alleged “willful violations” of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The lawsuit, filed by a former delivery driver, claims the defendants have failed to reimburse the plaintiff and similarly situated workers for job-related vehicle expenses to the extent that the employees’ pay fell below the federal mandatory minimum.
The case later mentions the defendants have reportedly been sued “numerous times in the last four years” for failing to pay proper wages under the FLSA.
