D.W. Sanders Ceramic Tile & Stone Contracting, Inc. was hit with a collective action in Georgia over alleged Fair Labor Standards Act violations. The plaintiff, who worked as a “tile setter helper,” claims he routinely worked more than 40 hours per week mixing mortar, pouring concrete and performing other job duties. According to the suit, he worked approximately 50 hours per week, but did not receive time-and-a-half pay for his extra hours. The suit hopes to cover all tile setter helpers who worked for the defendant within the last three years and who were not paid overtime.
