PVG Restaurant Group, LLC, which does business as popular restaurant Sonic, is facing a proposed class action filed on behalf of a proposed class of minors employed by the company who were not treated properly in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act’s rules for minors.
The 34-page lawsuit alleges the four named plaintiffs regularly worked eight- to 10-hour shifts without being provided an adequate meal break or proper minimum and overtime wages. The plaintiffs, who worked at the company’s Lawrenceville, Georgia location, were allegedly not assigned personal identification numbers that would allow them to access the defendant’s point of sale systems in which they could record their hours.
