A former employee has filed suit against El Gallego Spanish Tavern Restaurant Inc., two individual owners, and the company that bought the business while he worked there.

A former employee has filed suit against El Gallego Spanish Tavern Restaurant, Inc., two individual owners, and the company that bought the business while he worked there. The plaintiff claims the defendants failed to pay him and similarly situated employees the full minimum wage, as required under the Fair Labor Standards Act. According to the suit, the plaintiff worked at the restaurant as a waiter and was paid $1.50 per hour – well below Florida’s mandated minimum wage. He claims he is owed unpaid wages and other damages.
