SP Beach Hotel Corp. is facing a proposed collective action filed by a former employee who says she was denied proper overtime wages in violation of the FLSA.
SP Beach Hotel Corp. is facing a proposed collective action filed by a former employee who says she was denied proper overtime wages in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The plaintiff claims she worked for the defendant – which owns and operates Don Cesar Hotel – as a banquet server and often worked more than 40 hours per week. She alleges that she was not paid time-and-a-half overtime wages for the weekly hours she worked in excess of 40 and is owed unpaid wages.
