A class action seeking recovery of unpaid overtime wages and other economic damages has been filed in New York against Good Taste Corp. and its owners. The plaintiff, a former noodle press operator who usually worked 54 hours per week, alleges the defendants, in addition to failing to pay overtime, failed to provide complete paystubs to workers. According to court documents, the plaintiff was paid monthly in cash and by check, not weekly as required by New York labor laws. The former worker also claims he was given only a short meal break even though state law requires night shift workers to be provided with a one-hour meal break in the middle of their shift.
