Florida Construction Company Hit with Lawsuit from Employee

A.A. & A Fast Construction, LLC (which does business as AA&A Painting Services) has been slapped with a lawsuit out of Florida alleging the company violated certain provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Specifically, the suit claims the plaintiff and other similarly situated employees worked well beyond 50 hours per week without receiving overtime pay. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff worked as a painter and should be considered non-exempt under federal wage and hour laws. The defendants also allegedly failed to maintain accurate time records and are being sued for unpaid wages, liquidated damages, and attorneys’ fees.
