Florida Beauty Express, Inc., Floral Logistics of Miami, Inc., and an individual owner are facing claims that they failed to pay employees proper overtime wages.
Florida Beauty Express, Inc., Floral Logistics of Miami, Inc., and an individual owner are facing claims that they failed to pay employees proper overtime wages. A former delivery driver for the logistics companies has filed a lawsuit against them, alleging that they paid him at his straight-time rate of $11.00 per hour for every hour he worked. The complaint argues that he should have been paid at a time-and-a-half overtime rate for each hour he worked in excess of 40 in a week. The suit seeks unpaid overtime wages for the plaintiff and similarly situated employees who worked more than 40 hours in a week for the defendants any time since May 2014 without being properly compensated.
