Filed: June 7, 2017 ◆§ 1:17-cv-22142-RNS
Camel Carpentry Inc. and two individuals are the defendants in a proposed collective action alleging that they violated the FLSA by failing to pay proper overtime wages.
Camel Carpentry Inc. and two individuals are the defendants in a proposed collective action alleging that they violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to pay employees proper overtime wages. The plaintiff – who was employed by Camel Carpentry as a laborer – claims he worked an average of 55 hours per week and was paid $12.50 per hour. According to the suit, the defendants failed to compensate him according to the time-and-a-half overtime requirements under the FLSA for the hours he worked in excess of 40 each week. Therefore, the plaintiff is seeking unpaid overtime wages and other damages on behalf of anyone who has worked for the defendants within the past three years and did not receive proper overtime compensation.
