Field & Technical Services, LLC is facing a proposed class action lawsuit filed by a Pennsylvania man who claims the company neglected to pay him overtime wages.
Field & Technical Services, LLC is facing a proposed class action lawsuit filed by a Pennsylvania man who claims the company neglected to pay him time-and-a-half overtime wages for hours worked above 40 in a week. He says he was employed by the defendant as an operation maintenance and monitoring technician and was classified as non-exempt from overtime wage regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Despite his classification, the defendant allegedly informed the plaintiff in his offer letter that overtime hours would be paid at straight-time rates instead of one-and-a-half times his hourly wage. The suit argues that Field & Technician Services “intentionally set policies and practices designed to avoid paying proper overtime pay for Plaintiff and employees like him.”
