Private jet charter JetSmarter, Inc. and its founder are the defendants in a proposed class action that alleges individuals currently or formerly employed by the parties as “shuttle experience managers” are owed unpaid overtime wages. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff, employed by the defendants from April 2016 through March 2017, worked between six and seven days per week, totaling upward of 65 hours per week, without being paid mandatory time-and-a-half overtime wages for all hours worked past 40. Filed in Florida, the lawsuit seeks to recover nearly $40,000 in allegedly unpaid overtime.
